Anatomical Safe Trimming is a type of hoof trim which results in an optimal hoof position correct for the individual horse.  AS- trimming provides a well functioning hoof and a fast recovery of a problem hoof.

The principle of the AS trimming is about the ability and willingness of the horse to put load on his feet. The AS- method trims the hoofs in such a manner that the spring movement which takes care of the pump mechanism is not hindered. A correctly functioning hoof mechanism provides a good blood circulation in the foot and the leg. This is imperative to the general health condition of the horse and the optimal functioning of the hoof.
